Nezu Museum

6-5-1 Minamiaoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo MAP

This time, we would like to introduce to you the Nezu Museum. Nezu Museum was opened in 1940 by the will of Kaichiro Nezu (1860-1940), the first Japanese railway king and businessman.
The collection of more than 7,000 items, including seven national treasures, covers a wide range of paintings, calligraphy, sculptures, ceramics, lacquering, and metal works.
A cafe adjoining with an exhibition building, both were designed by Kengo Kuma, one of Japan's leading architects.
Don't forget to check out a beautiful 17,000 m2 Japanese garden that retains the rem-nants of Nezu family's private residence.
Although this place is located in the middle of the city, it is also a healing spot where you can enjoy the silence and forest bathing.
This is a great chance to experience the beauty of art and Japanese gardens while re-laxing in a cafe. How about spending time like this the next time you come to Shibuya?
