The Hachiko statue and the Shibuya crossing are two of the most famous photo spots in Shibuya, but there are many other spots just as worthy of being captured in your camera.
Today, we'll introduce one of the less known but best photo spots in Shibuya, namely, the former Asakura Family Residence!
It was built in 1919, about 100 years ago in the Taisho era.
It is one of the few remaining Japanese-style buildings in central Tokyo and is a cultural heritage site. The building was designated as a cultural heritage in 2004 and is now open to the public.
Apart from experiencing the architecture from 100 years ago through the building and its rooms, you shouldn't miss the stunning garden, which is designed to utilize the terrain of the land.
Furthermore, each room has its own style and design, and in autumn, the garden turns into a great place to enjoy the vivid colors of fall.
Please check the website for the latest information before visiting the facility.
