Hokkaido Menkoi Nabe Kuma-chan Onsen, a one-person hot pot restaurant gathering attention on TikTok, has opened its first store in Tokyo here in Shibuya.
The “bears” are made of dietary fiber and collagen and soaked in the broth, they make the hot pot resemble a hot spring. As the bears dissolve, they become the soup of the hot pot. As you’re waiting for your solo hot pot, before you know it, the sight of a cute bear soaking in a steaming onsen will appear before your eyes!
The vegetables and the meat come from Hokkaido, and hot pot sets start at 2600 yen. The most recommended set is apparently the "Hokkaido Special Menkoi Set (2980 yen)."
The set comes with four kinds of meat (beef, pork, chicken, and chicken mince), colorful vegetables, and you can even choose between soy milk soup, bonito soup, or dandan soup.
The color of the bear changes depending on the flavor, which almost makes you prioritize visuals over taste. When in Shibuya, make sure to try out this cute bear hot pot!
